Who hasn’t marvelled at the magic hour, somewhere in our lives. Captured that tranquil moment where everything seems just right with the world. A place of meditational contemplation.

This painting was inspired by that very feeling. On a foray, birdwatching with friends and you round a field to be hit by this. Visual nirvana right there.

I have painted this image in many stages, building up a sky of some magnitude. Something I’m enjoying more each time i find the right feel. The whole process took a month, including drying. It’s the drying that frustrates a little as you can be immersed in the project, just to have to step aside when you’ve reached the best points.

I do hope this painting hits that meditational spot, or hits your own reason for admiring nature when it delivers.
